- FISC San Diego Regional Contracts Department anticipates procuring services to re-time the gear train on a Electro Motive Diesel (ESSDG16-645E5N) onboard the USS Carol Vinson in accordance with FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items. Intentions are to award a Sole Source Firm-Fixed Price contract in accordance with FAR 6.302-1 Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements to Valley Power Systems, Inc. (Cage 01PB5) with a period of performance starting 9 July 2011 and ending 29 July 2011. Services are to be performed at Naval Air Station, North Island, San Diego, CA. Applicable NAICS Code is 335312, Motor and Generator Manufacturing. In addition, it is anticipated that a RFQ will only be sent to Valley Power Systems, Inc. for response on or around July 1, 2011. Note 22 is applicable.
