- This synopsis is for the repair of the HVAC System for the 39 IOS, Bldg 90074 on Hurlburt Field, FL. The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, tools, supervision, and equipment to perform all operations necessary to accomplish all work as shown on the drawings and specifications. The general work includes, but not limited to, replacement of certain HVAC equipment and ductwork; removal of certain lay-in acoustical ceiling tile and grid system and hard ceilings; removal of certain interior stud walls; construction of new interior stud walls; provide new lay-in acoustical ceiling systems; provide new hollow metal door frame and solid core wood door; provide carpet tile to match existing; construct new reinforced CMU screen walls for new chiller; and provide new mechanical and electrical work. Additionally, Phase I includes existing Room 109 (Classroom 3) adjoining corridor 103A, and Mechanical Room 122. Phase 2 includes demolition of walls around Rooms 105, 124, and wall between 114 and Rooms 105 & 124, and construction of new Computer Room 106. Also included in new chiller and mechanical screen wall. Phase 1 and 2 can be done concurrently. Phase 3 is a Bid Option No. 01, and includes corridors 130 and 130A, Classroom 2 (133), Classroom 135, Classroom 1 (136), and Auditorium 137, and Mechanical Room 138. This acquisition will be set aside for HUB-Zone offerors only. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this project is 238220 with a size standard of $14M. This contract will be awarded in accordance with FAR Part 15, Negotiated Procedures. The Government reserves the right to award a contract to other than the low proposed price. Performance period is 270 calendar days. Estimated magnitude for this project is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. Payment and performance bonds will be required within ten (10) days of contract award. The work is required in support of the 1 st Special Operations Civil Engineer Squadron. The contract will be a single award, Firm-Fixed-Price type contract. The issuance date for this solicitation is projected to be on/about 14 Jul 2011. Prospective contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration Database prior to award of a government contract. Offerors are further advised that failure to register in the DOD Central Registration Database will render your firm ineligible for award. Registration requires applicants to have a DUNS number.
