- The U.S. Army Contracting Command - Rock Island, intends to solicit from a single source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1), with Hoppe Technologies, Inc., Chicopee, MA; for machined metal parts for the MK126 Rocket Motor. The MK126 Rocket Motor is a component of the MK7 Mod 2 Anti-Personnel Obstacle Breaching System (APOBS). A firm-fixed price Purchase Order award is anticipated for a base quantity of 15 sets of the required Rocket Motor machined metal parts, with an option provision for an additional quantity of 50 sets. The Technical Data for these machined metal parts is Distribution D, which means distribution is authorized to U.S. DoD contractors. To receive the technical data, any interested party must be registered in the Joint Certification Program (JCP) at http://www.dlis.dla.mil/jcp/. Any request for technical data must be in writing and must include the company name, valid cage code, and JCP number. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all proposals received within fifteen days after date of publication of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
