- The US Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity proposes to award to R&D Scientific Corp., 272 Route 206 Bldg C, Flanders, NJ, on a sole source basis, a non-personal service contract to provide annual FDA certified calibration and probes of the Datatron Ext System located at the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research, Silver Spring, MD. R& D Scientific has proprietary rights and passwords for the system. Competing this requirement and awarding to any other source would result in substantial delays and disruption of a project already in progress and would also increase the overall cost to the Government. Solicitation No. W81XWH-11-T-0420 will be issued on or about 08 July 2011 and proposals will be due on or about 12 July 2011 @ 1:30 PM EST. This procurement shall be under other than full and open competition procedures in accordance with FAR 6.302-1. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 334290 with a size standard of 750 employees. Any response to this notice must be submitted in writing to the Government and show clear and convincing evidence that another source is capable of meeting the Government's requirements and that competition of the requirement would be advantageous to the Government. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. After the publication of this announcement for fifteen (15) days, solicitation W81XWH-11-T-0420 will be posted for three days. In accordance with DFARS 252.204-7004, all contractors wishing to do business with the Department of Defense must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database.
