Description
The intent of this project is to combine multiple, independent projects into a comprehensive contract. Some projects may require design by an A/E, and submission and approval that of that design, prior to starting construction. Other projects will only require material submittals prior to execution. The first five projects are to be included in the contractor ™s base bid. Each project shall be priced individually to facilitate the government ™s analysis of the contractor ™s proposal. The scopes of work for each project, along with any additional requirements for that project, are included in Part 6. Hgr 3 Auditorium/Breakout Rooms NSA Popup Barrier Deactivation Bldg 410 Renovation Bldg 439 Freq Convertors Refresh VIP entrance Bldg 1 It is the government ™s intent for the contractor to work these projects simultaneously, with the longest duration project setting the contractor completion date. This contract also includes several other projects the contractor shall price as options to be awarded at the discretion of the government. The prices on the options shall be valid until 1 October 2011. Time will be negotiated at the award of each option or options. When awarded, the options shall be executed simultaneously with the base bid projects and other options that are awarded. Projects to be included as options are: Bldg 561 Grounds/Drainage Improvements Bldg 40 Conference Center Restrooms Base wide Striping Bldg 526 Replace Skirting Bldg 552 Shop Exit Doors Energy Project-Lighting controls Bldg 33 and Bldg 492 CG Lift Station Bldg 123 HVAC and Renovation The government reserves the right to add additional projects to the contract. All additional projects will be added via modification after following proper protocol of sending an RFP to the contractor, receiving a proposal back, and negotiations.
