Description
The Contractor shall provide all parts, labor, materials, tools and equipment, transportation, supervision and all operations identified in these specifications for Project No. ZNRE 09-1204, Repair HVAC System, USFJ 5AF HQs, Bldg 714, Yokota Air Base, Japan. 1) General: Removal and replacement of existing heating ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC) systems in Building 714. Work includes demolition of screen wall, mechanical equipment, wiring, and controls; asbestos abatement, installation of metal screen wall, concrete work, landscape work, landscape surface restoration; painting, new computer room HVAC equipment, mini split cooling systems, pumps, piping, DDC Controls, wiring, fire alarm device installation, and associated specialty work for installation of above devices and systems. 2) Civil and architectural work: Remove exiting concrete masonry unit wall, install metal screen fencing, concrete pads for fencing and equipment, grading of construction area, and placement of crushed rock to cover area around equipment. 3) Environmental work: Remove identified Asbestos Containing Materials (ACM) from specified areas of building. 4) Mechanical work: Remove existing air-conditioning equipment in 2 data centers and replace with new equipment and associate pumps, piping, and controls. Install mini split cooling systems, central direct digital control system with operators' workstations. 5) Electrical Work: Provide wiring to power new equipment, including transformers, switchgear, breaker panels, and fire detection system. The magnitude of this project is expected between Y101,951,700 and Y509,758,500, in accordance with FAR 36.204 (f), which means the Government's Cost Estimate falls in this magnitude. Site orientation will be held on 11 Jul 11, from 0930 hours at Bldg. 620 Yokota Air Base, Tokyo, Japan. All offerors are encouraged to participate in the site orientation. Please contact the Point of Contact (POC) below and receive the solicitation documents prior to the date of the site orientation. The documents will not be posted on the FedBizOpps. NOTE: THIS SOUCES SOUGHT NOTICE IS INTENDED ONLY FOR LOCAL SOURCES IN ACCORDANCE WITH FEDERAL ACQUISITION REGULATION 5.202(a)(12). LOCAL SOURCES ARE THOSE SOURCES NORMALLY RESIDENT, LICENSED AND REGISTERED TO CONDUCT CONSTRUCTION BUSINESS IN JAPAN. OFFERS FROM NON-LOCAL SOURCES WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED UNDER THIS SOLICITATION.
