Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The Department of the Army at Fort Leonard Wood has to procure (20) Breach Doors with removable bases for the Range 33 Breach Course. This will be a fixed price supply contract; Small Business set-aside; NAICS code is 332321 with a small business size standard of 500 employees. CLIN 0001 - Breach Doors, left swinging; qty 10/each CLIN 0002 - Breach Doors, right swinging; qty 10/each CLIN 0003 - Removable Bases; qty 20/each Specification for the Breach Doors: Pre-hung door with removable base. Ten (10) left swinging; ten (10) right swinging; twenty (20) removable bases. Should be steel frames with multiple explosive and shotgun breaches on it, with removable steel bases. Each door should have removable wooden inserts that are easily taken in and out. **No pins, pegs etc. All doors should be able to accommodate simulated breaches of wood, steel, and fortified doors. Doors should be able to be adjusted to replicate the force necessary to breach these compositions. Must fit standard size rough opening of 41.5"x84". Jamb/Frame must have pre-drilled tabs to provide solid integration into existing or new structures and allow the door to be quickly installed with common hand tools and lag bolts. Must have wood replaceable panels for the areas that slide into the frame as well as the replaceable door jamb damaged during execution of forced entry techniques with the capability to install 2 locksets that can be easily installed in wood replacement panels that simply slide into the frame as well as the replaceable door jamb. Constructed from 2"x2"x3/16" powder coated structural steel. Has a sliding ballistic plate that is capable of protecting the door from damage for ram training and to accommodate other entry procedures with wood inserts and panels. The base must be constructed of a solid welded steel frame that can be staked to the ground or mounted to either a wood or concrete slab using the predrilled tabs provided in the frame. The removable base must also have a 22 degree angle on the front support leg to reduce trip hazards and can be assembled/dismantled quickly with common hand tools, for transport to an alternate training site or for storing.
