Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. Solicitation AG-4146-S-11-0005 is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). This combined synopsis/solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect in the Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-50. It is the contractor's responsibility to be familiar with applicable clauses and provisions. Clauses and provisions can be found at https://www.acquisition.gov/comp/far/index.html. This is a 100% set-side for small business concerns, the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 115310, and the size standard for this project is $7M. Contract line item (See Schedule of Items): This requirement is for pre-commercial thinning and slash treatment on the Shoal Creek National Forest. This requirement will remove hardwood midstory competition from four units. The four units total approximately 403 acres and are located within Calhoun and Celburne Counties, Alabama. The contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, supplies, tools, equipment, transportation, supervision, and incidentals to perform work in accordance with specifications contained in this solicitation. * PLEASE SEE ATTACHED SPECIFICATIONS, MAPS AND SCHEDULE OF ITEMS* The period of performance will be from award, approximately July 15, 2011 to September 30, 2011, intermittently, as weather permits. Provision at FAR 52.212-1, Instruction to Offerors Commercial Items applies to this acquisition. Request for Quotation (RFQ) should be submitted and shall contain the following information: RFQ NUMBER; TIME SPECIFIED FOR RECEIPT OF OFFERS; NAME, ADDRESS; TELEPHONE NUMBER OF OFFEROR; TERMS OF THE EXPRESSED WARRANTY; ANY DISCOUNT TERMS AND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF ALL SOLICITATION AMENDMENTS (if applicable). Signed quotes must indicate quantity, unit price and total amount for each item. Offerors shall include a statement specifying the extent of agreement with all terms, conditions and provisions included in the solicitation.
