- Description
- The Contracting Department, Fleet and Industrial Supply Center (FISC), Norfolk, VA, 23511-3392 intends to negotiate a firm fixed price contract utilizing the procedures identified at FAR Subpart 13.5, test program for Certain commercial Items to procure and installation of approximately 2,312 square yards of carpet. The place of Performance is the Gateway Inns and Suites located at the Norfolk Naval Shipyard, Portsmouth, Virginia. The contractor shall provide and install the carpet in hallways and common areas of 6 floors in buildings 1585 and 1590. The minimum carpet specifications are: Construction type: tip sheared scroll, Yarn: Avalar SDX nylon with Puralex, Dye method:100% solution dyed, Stitch count:13 S.P.I, Yarn Weight tufted: Min 32 oz, Primary backing: Masterline, Second backing: Woven polypropylene, Cushing backing: attached backing, desired carpet manufactured Beaulieu Commercial, Brand AQUA Happy Hour #9HPY6, Installation: direct glue down, Carpet Base: 4 inch with bound edges and no attached backing. The contractor shall hold the current Required Licenses and Certification of a certified carpet installer. The requesting Activity is the Norfolk Naval Shipyard, Portsmouth, Virginia. The required performance period is 21 June 2011 through 26 August 2011. A complete Request For Quotation (RFQ) Package will be available on or about 13 May 2011 by downloading the Documents at the NECO Website as follows: http://www.neco.navy.mil or at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 314110. When the Request for Quote (RFQ) is issued, it may be downloaded by this office no longer issues hardcopy solicitations. Potential contractors are hereby notified that the solicitation and subsequent amendments to the solicitation will ONLY be available for download at the above sites; this office will no longer issue hard copy solicitations. By submitting an offer, the vendor is self-certifying that neither the requestor nor the principal corporate officials and owners are currently suspended, debarred, or otherwise ineligible to receive contracts from any federal agency. Failure to do so may represent grounds for refusing to accept the offer. By submission of an offer, the contractor acknowledges the requirement that a prospective awardee must be registered in the CCR database prior to award, during performance, and through final payment of any contract resulting from this solicitation, except for awards to foreign vendors for work to be performed outside the United States. Lack of registration in the CCR database will make a contractor ineligible for award.
