- Request for Information (RFI) for Transcription Serivices This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes and does not constitute a solicitation. All information received in response to this RFI marked Proprietary will be handled accordingly. Responses to the RFI will not be returned. Whatever information is provided in response to this RFI will be used to assess the small business market in the areas of transcription services. In accordance with FAR 15.201(e), responses to this RFI are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. THE GOVERNMENT DOES NOT INTEND TO AWARD A CONTRACT ON THE BASIS OF THIS RFI OR REIMBURSE ANY COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH THE PREPARATION OF RESPONSES TO THIS RFI. 1. The Government is interested in a small business that can provide transcription services in support of the United States Air Force according to the following criteria: a. Services include digital transfers of interviews and resulting transcripts, and non-digital transcription services in varying formats (micro cassette, standard cassette and video formats). b. Products are to be typed and proofed and provided in a unified format (using Times New Roman font, 12 pitch) with a greater than 98% accuracy rate down to and including scripting prompts which may reflect unusual occurrences in the transcripts (such as “witness upset” or “jets flying over”) when those types of interruptions affect the testimony. c. Words which the contractor is unsure of i.e. spelling etc., are clearly identified in the transcripts with square [ ] brackets. d. Transcriptions of recorded interviews are expected to be delivered in 5 business days. e. The contractor shall charge the government by the “word” for all completed transcripts. 2. If your company can provide the above mentioned criteria, please submit a capability statement to Delane.jones@afncr.af.mil by July 8, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. EST for PLANNING PURPOSES ONLY. THE GOVERNMENT DOES NOT INTEND TO AWARD A CONTRACT ON THE BASIS OF THIS RFI OR REIMBURSE ANY COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH THE PREPARATION OF RESPONSES TO THIS RFI.
