Description

The Veterans Integrated Service Network (VISN) 23 Contracting Office has a requirement for Human Blood and Blood Products for use by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Centers located in Minneapolis, MN and St. Cloud, MN. The FSC Code is 6506 and the NAICS Code is 621991 and the small business size standard is $9.0 million. The anticipated term of an awarded contract would be October 1, 2011 to September 30, 2012 with one 12-month option to renew. A Firm Fixed Price Contract will be awarded. The estimated requirements include: 6200 units/year Red Blood Cell, Leukocyte Reduced; 900 units/year Irradiation surcharge - Red Blood Cells & Apheresis Platelets 10 units Platelets, Leukocyte Reduced 1400 units/year Platelets, Apheresis, Leukocyte Reduced; 5 units/year Irradiation Surcharge - Platelets 200 units/year Platelet, Cross match 10 units/year Plasma, Fresh Frozen (Frozen within 8 hours) 2000 units/year Plasma, Frozen (Frozen within 24 hours); 150 units/year Plasma Cryoreduced; 90 units/year Cryoprecipitated AHF Pooled; 6 units/year HLA Typed Product Surcharge 800 Antigen Screen, Red Cell Antigen Typing (Per Antigen per Unit) 4 Granulocyte Apheresis plus miscellaneous blood products as required. The Contractor must be able to provide two scheduled daily deliveries Monday through Friday for the MVAHCS's requirements for Human Blood and Blood Products as well as provide blood on an as needed basis, and 500 per year Delivery Fees over the two scheduled deliveries per day. Deliveries shall be made within 60 minutes of notification of need. Bulk dollar amount for miscellaneous blood components and related products and services ordered on an as needed basis. All responsible sources having the ability to meet these requirements and provide products as listed above to the MVAHCS centers in Minneapolis, MN and St. Cloud, MN should respond to this announcement by 3:30 PM CDT, July 15, 2011.
