Description: SYNOPSIS - PRESOLICITATION NOTICE: PROJECT TITLE: INTERIOR PAINTING FOR THE DESIGNATED AREAS OF BUILDING NUMBERS 152, 257, AND 258 LOCATED AT THE U.S. COAST GUARD (USCG) TRAINING CENTER (TRACEN), CAPE MAY, NEW JERSEY 08204 SCOPE: 1.1 GENERAL DESCRIPTION A. Project work includes all materials, labor, equipment, supervision, and services required for the proper preparation and interior painting of designated areas located in the squad bays of Healy Hall Building #257 and James Hall Building #258 and the interior lobby of Ida Lewis Building #152. All work shall be performed at the USCG TRACEN Cape May, NJ 08240 (Cape May County). B. Contractor shall be required to properly prime, paint, and provide minor repairs to drywall of each squad bay, floor, room number, and area listed. The project work areas will include the main entrance or foyer to the squad bays, the main berthing sections including the overflow or "towers" and the foyer that connects the main squad bay to the overflow tower squad bay. The bathrooms are not included in this project. C. Drawings: There will be drawings provided with the solicitation which will delineate each area that will be painted with a red circle or outline. The drawing of building # 258 only has one copy labeled 2nd and 3rd floor. Both floors will require painting; therefore, the floors shall be quoted as identical. D. Squad bays: 1. Healy Hall Squad bays - The first number identifies the floor level; the second number identifies relation to the building. Squad bays: 1W, 1S, 2N, 2S, 2E, 2W, 3N, 3S, 3E, and 3W. 2. James Hall Squad bays - The first number identifies the floor level; the second number identifies relation to the building. Squad bays: 1E, 1N, 2N, 2S, 2E, 2W, 3N, 3S, 3E, and 3W. E. Ida Lewis - interior lobby areas designated on drawing to be provided with solicitation. F. Major work items include but are not limited to: 1. Prep, prime, and paint walls 2. Repair corner bead. 3. Perform drywall patch work. 4. Perform drywall skim work. 5. Mobilization, demobilization and clean up; 6. Supervision, materials, equipment, transportation, labor and all other incidentals necessary to complete the work. Estimated Period of Performance shall be 60 days after issuance of Notice to Proceed. This procurement is estimated BETWEEN $25,000.00 and $100,000.00. The NAICS code for this procurement is 238320 with a size standard of $14.0 million. This acquisition is a total, 100% set-aside for Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB) concerns eligible under the Women-Owned Small Business Program in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 19.1505(c) and 52.219-30. All work shall be performed in accordance with USCG Statement of Work, drawings, provisions, clauses and the terms and conditions which will be provided when all Request for Quote (RFQ) solicitation document files become available for download on or after 13 JULY 2011 exclusively from the Internet by accessing the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) website at: http://www.fbo.gov.
