Description

SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS. This is a request for information/market research to provide data for planning purposes. The sources sought synopsis does not constitute a request for proposal, request for quote, invitation for bid nor does its issuance in any way restrict the Government as to its ultimate acquisition approach. The Erie VA Medical Center, 135 E 38th Street, Erie, PA, is seeking potential sources capable of providing Maintenance and Repair of Automatic Doors at the Erie campus. The contractor shall provide all management, tools, supplies, equipment, transportation and labor necessary to perform preventative maintenance and interim service for all automatic doors located at the Erie VA Medical Center, 135 E 38th Street, Erie, PA. Preventative maintenance and repair shall cover all components of the automatic doors including, but not limited to, controllers, switches, pads, actuators, door tracks and doors. All service must be in accordance with (IAW) American National Standard for Power Operated Doors ANSI/BHMA A156.10-2005.Note: All service personnel must be American Association of Automatic Door Manufacturers (AAADM) certified technicians with experience in maintaining and repairing multiple brands of automatic doors, specifically Horton and Stanley. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS (RFP). Firms responding to this announcement should include company name, point of contact, address and indicate whether they are small business, 8(a) concern, veteran-owned small business, service-disabled veteran-owned small business, HUBZone small business, small disadvantaged business, or women-owned small business. For the purposes of being considered a small business, the following applies: NAICS- 238290, Size Standard- $14.0 million. The Government reserves the right to set-aside any subsequent acquisition based upon known sources and/or responses to this synopsis. Responses must be received by COB July 12, 2011.
