65-Lease of Neptune 2 Rover, and Neptune 2 Docking Station Solicitation Number: VA-241-11-RI-0878 Agency: Department of Veterans Affairs ________________________________________ Notice Type: Request for Information Posted Date: June 29, 2011 Response Date: July 13, 2011 Classification Code: 65 -- Medical, dental & veterinary equipment & supplies This announcement constitutes a Sources Sought/ Request for Information only, as a written solicitation may not result. The request for information number is VA-241-11-RI-0878 and is issued as a request for information (RI). The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 423450 with a small business size standard of 100.00 employees. The request for information will start on the date this request for information is posted and will end on 2011-07-13 15:00:00.0 Eastern Time or as otherwise displayed. The purposes of this Sources Sought notice is for Market Research and to determine the availability of potential sources to provide the following required lease service and to assist the Government in deciding in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), FAR 19.502-2 (b) whether or not this procurement will be set aside for small business, for a small business program, or done through full and open competition. This is a request for information only and no solicitation currently exists; therefore there is no assurance that a solicitation will result. The Contractor will be required to supply lease of Neptune 2 System or Equal, for the listed items as follows: ITEM 01, Neptune 2 Rover (120V) (item # 0702-001-000W) 8, EA; ITEM 02, Neptune 2 Docking Station (120V) (Item # 0702-014-000W) 2, EA; ITEM 03, Neptune 2 Rover ProCare (Item # 0702-011-000W) 8, EA; ITEM 04, Neptune 2 Docking Station ProCare (Item # 0702-014-000W) 2, EA As part of its capability statement, all interested parties shall provide: (1) Documentation that its business is primary engaged in delivery of required lease equipment and all inclusive equipment maintenance services. (2) Past Performance information demonstrating that the contractor has provided services as outlined in this sources sought notice. (3) Provide name and address of the organization, point of contact name, title, phone, fax, and email and (5)Dun & Bradstreet (D&B) number. All interested firms who can meet the requirements stated above should respond, in writing, with information describing their interest, capabilities, geographic location and indicate which small business category for which they qualify. NAICS Code 423450 - Medical, Dental, and Hospital Equipment and Supplies Merchant Wholesalers is applicable to this acquisition. Interested firms are reminded that in accordance with FAR 4.12, prospective contractors shall complete electronic annual representations and certifications at https//orca.bpn.gov in conjunction with FAR 4.11 required registration in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database, the website www.ccr.gov prior to award of a contract. The Government does not intend to pay for any information. This notice is issued pursuant to FAR Part 7, Acquisition Planning. This is a Sources Sought Notice Only.
