Description

Contractor shall provide to the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Minneapolis, Minnesota, on an as needed basis all requirements for specialty gases used in the Pathology and Laboratory Medicine Service. Gases will be used to establish environmental conditions for specimens as well as with various pieces of laboratory equipment. Gases required include: ItemQuantityUnitEst cost Nitrogen, Gaseous, Medical, 228 CF (H), NF Grade50Ea Helium-Ultra High Purity, 217 CF (K), 99.999%, Grade 520Ea Nitrogen-Ultra High Purity, 230 CF (K), Grade 5150Ea Anaerobe mixture, 5% Carbon Dioxide and 5% Hydrogen in Nitrogen, 276 CF (H), CGA 350100Ea Argon-pre-purified, 248 CF (K), 99.998%, Grade 4.88Ea Carbon Dioxide, 50 lbs (G)50Ea The gas tanks shall be provided on an as needed basis for the contract period which will consist of a base year with four (4) 12-month option periods. Delivery will be completed no later than next business day. Tank rental will be included in the contract. NAICS code is 325120 for Industrial Gas Manufacturing and the Small Business Standard is 1000 employees. Notice: This procurement is 100% SET-ASIDE FOR SMALL BUSINESS. Federal Acquisition Regulations under FAR Part 12 and FAR Part 13 will be followed as well as 52.219.6. The FSC Code is 6830 - Compressed and Liquefied Gases. Decision factors for evaluation are: technical requirements, past performance, and price reasonableness. Bid documents will be available on the FBO Website on July 30, 2011 under solicitation number VA-263-11-RQ-0479. Companies with the ability to provide these items are invited to submit their proposals to Karen A. Cox, contracting Specialist as the address in this announcement by 3:30 pm Central Daylight Time, July 8, 2011. The period of performance for this contract will be from on or about October 1, 2011 through September 30, 2012 base year with four (4) options to renew.
