- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The combined synopsis/ solicitation number is W91ZLK-11-T-0236. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 05-52. This requirement is a Total Small Business Set Aside. The associated North America Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 334515 and the Business Size Standard is 500. The Government contemplates award of a firm-fixed price Purchase Order for Alternator Test Bench. The purchase of this unit will be in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation FAR PART 13.5, Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. NOTES to Offerors: Offers shall note the lead time or approximate delivery date for items offered. Acceptance shall be at destination. Shipping shall be FOB Destination to US Army Aberdeen Test Center's facility Located at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland 21005. Description of the Requirement: Alternator test bench, 85 HP, 600-20000 RPM test temperature ranges -48 C to 135 C, 6-50 VDC test voltages, automated 1200ADC load. Test stand must be capable of characterizing vehicle alternators prior to integration onto vehicle platforms. The test bench will be capable of producing at least 85 horsepower over the range of 600 to 15,000 RPM in order to test alternators for vehicles that have increasing requirements for onboard DC and/or AC Power. The alternator test stand must utilize programmable control and will measure input power/torque and output power data over an alternator's full performance range. It must have an integrated load to apply precise electrical loads to alternators under test. Offerors to propose a unit price for the following item. CLIN 0001 Alternator test bench, 85 HP, 600-20000 RPM test temperature ranges -48 C to 135 C, 6-50 VDC test voltages, automated 1200ADC load.
