Description
The Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division, China Lake, CA, has a requirement for spare parts in support of BRU-55 A/A Bomb Racks. The Government intends to procure on an other than full and open competition with ITT Defense, the following items: 1) MT55M1153-2 (MCA) Micro Controller Assembly, Qty 7 each; 2) MT55M1190-1 (DIA) Digital Interface Assembly, Qty 5 each; 3) MT55M1131-1 (PRA) Power Raid Assembly, Qty 14 each; 4) MT55E1205-3 BRU-55 Cable Assembly, Qty 3 each. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR Subpart 6.302-1, ITT Defense, 1650 Tysons Blvd., Suite 1700, McLean, VA 22102. The products under this effort shall be purchased in accordance with a Statement of Work, including Specifications. A 5 - year Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) N00164-10-G-JM39 for firm fixed price supplies is in place, and this soliciation will result in a Delivery Order for Firm Fixed Price supplies under aforementioned BOA. Inspection will be made by DCMA at Origin, Acceptance will be at destination. The BRU-55A/A bomb rack is the U.S. Navy ™s first smart multiple carriage bomb rack. The BRU-55A/A is an upgrade to the current BRU-33A/A Canted Vertical (CVER) bomb rack that provides compatibility with convention stores and improved umbilical retention. It would not be cost effective (substantial duplication of development and certification costs), and it would take too long to develop and certify an alternate source of supply for the BRU-55A/A Bomb Rack subcomponents. The government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source; however, intersted persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. The government will consider all proposals received prior to the anticipated closing date, and written responses shall clearly show the firm's capability, background, experience and assets necessay to produce the required parts without compromising the quality, accuracy, reliability and delivery of the products to the war fighter. This notice is not a request for proposals; however, any firm, other than ITT Defense should respond in accordance with Numbered Notes 22. Questions should be directed to Roger Smith, by email to roger.h.smith@navy.mil
