- SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory is seeking sources for the following: 1. One each traveling wave tube amplifier, 1kW, per specification below. This is not a solicitation nor an offer to purchase. Interested Vendors must register in Interested Vendor portal. Do not send proposals based on this posting. Any such proposal will be disqualified upon receipt. A formal RFP is planned for issue in the near future. Principals only please TWT Amplifier Specifications Driver for LCLS X-band klystron General 1 kW peak power TWT amplifier. Pulsed output at low duty cycle. Rack mount configuration 19" chassis, form 3U-5U. Prime power supply 115AC, 60Hz. The maximum repetition rate is 360 pps. Protected output with high power isolator. RS-232 based interface for control, protection and status diagnostics. The most important parameter is the short term pulse to pulse phase stability - 0.06° rms (X-band) over 10 s.
