- The U.S. Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Research Service, Mid South Area, has a project entitled 'Emergency Generator' at the USDAS, ARS, Oxford Mississippi location. The work includes but is not limited to furnishing all labor, materials, supervision, and equipment to install a new emergency generator and new automatic transfer switch to provide emergency power to Greenhouse/Headhouse. Modify the incoming service to the building to install the new generator. The period of performance is 180 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed (NTP). The magnitude of construction is estimated between $100,000 and $250,000. The NAICS Code is 238210, with a size standard of $14.0 million. This is an Invitation for Bid (IFB) and incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-32. Solicitation No. AG-4431-S-11-0012 is scheduled for release on July 22, 2011. Interested contractors are to go to web site: www.fbo.gov. to submit their requests for a bid package. A pre-bid site visit is scheduled for Tuesday, 08/02/2011 @10:30 a.m. CST. Any changes or additional information will be provided in the solicitation package. Bid will be due by 2:00 p.m. on August 23, 2011. A firm-fixed price contract will be awarded. All responsible Businesses may submit an offer which will be considered by the agency. Contractors are required to register or update their registration at the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) website at www.ccr.gov in order to receive a contract award under this solicitation, and register or update their registration at the Online Representation and Certification Application website at http://orca.bpn.gov.
