Description
Notice of Contract Action. This is not a solicitation of offers. The VA Boston Research Service (151/152m) has a requirement for research support described as follows: medical chart abstraction and coordination and training of junior medical chart abstractors. The proposed contractor is S. MacDonald, Westford, MA (DUNS 786261086). The VA intends to negotiate and award a firm fixed price contract with a base and up to three option years. The authority for this action is 41 USC 253(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1 Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements. The proposed contract is in support of the research project entitled 'Validating and Classifying VA Readmissions for Quality Assessment and Improvements ' (Project number: IIR 09-369-2). The contractor is named in the underlying research proposal chosen for funding by the VA Health Services Research and Development Service (HSR&D). The NAICS is 541712. The PSC is AN42. This notice is current through FAC 2005-53. A decision not to compete this requirement is based upon this notice, the responses hereto and the Justification and Approval to be posted to this web site. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. Service Disabled and Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB and VOSB) contracting with VA are to self-register in VetBiz if seeking consideration under PL 109-461 (www.vetbiz.gov - Vendor Information Pages - VIP) All contractors are required to be registered in the Central Contractor Registry (www.ccr.gov).
