Description
SF-18 Fluorescent Microscope RFQ USDA Agricultural Research Service in Tucson, Arizona, has a requirement for a stereoscopic microscope with camer, computer software, and modular components suitable for the fluorescent visualization of bacteria in liquid mediums, fixed tissue sections, and freshly dissected tissue layers. The microscope's light sources and objectives must be suitable for standard bright field transillumination, fluorescence microscopy, and differential interference contrast microscopy. The initial purchase should include filters suitable for the fluorescent visualization of DsRed, Cy3, GFP, and eGFP with a minimum of fluorophore crosstalk (e.g., filters suitable for using GFP and DsRed/Cy3 in the same sample). A modular and highly upgradeable system is also required, with compatible objectives and filter systems available such that the utility of the microscope may be expanded for use with additional fluorophores, additional illumination techniques, and additional sample preparations. The included camera and computer software should be suitable for compiling images from both multiple fluorophore channels and multiple tissue section layers.
