Description

NAVAIR intends to issue a fixed price type contract to Northrop Grumman Corporation (NGC) Bethpage, NY for six (6) Full Rate Production (FRP) Lot 1 E-2D Advanced Hawkeye (AHE) Aircraft. The proposed effort also requires NGC to provide associated program management; systems engineering; non-recurring engineering; production engineering support; production management; quality assurance; integrated logistics support; interim support spares; organizational and intermediate-level peculiar support equipment; organic depot and core logistics transition support; training and training support; configuration changes; and technical, administrative, and financial data in support of these items. This proposed contractual action will serve as the first lot of E-2D AHE FRP aircraft planned to be executed as a follow-on procurement to the E-2D AHE LRIP aircraft procured via Contracts N00019-08-C-0027 and N00019-10-C-0044. As sole developer, and manufacturer of the E-2 aircraft weapon system, only NGC has the requisite knowledge, experience, and technical data required to successfully manufacture the aircraft without causing unacceptable delays in meeting the Navy's operational requirements.
