Description
Monitoring Impact of HPV Vaccine on HPV Types in a Managed Care Organization (MCO) In accordance with FAR subpart 6.302-1(c) (ii), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) intends to issue a solesource purchase order to The National Clinicians Consultation Center (NCCC) at the University of California San Francisco (UCSF). The purpose of this acquisition is to procure services to retain routinely collected cervical specimens from Kaiser Permanente patients in order to determine prevalence of specific HPV types several years after HPV vaccine. introduction. Over a period of 18 months, the contractor shall obtain approximately 4000 cervical cytology specimens continuously from females 20-24 years (2000 specimens), and 25-29 years (2000 specimens). The Contractor shall develop a database (electronic file) in which specific variables will be retained and linked to the specimen. The electronic file will be formatted according to CDC specifications, encrypted and password protected, and sent via email. At a minimum, the variables in the database will include specimen ID, date of specimen, date of birth or age of the patient at specimen date, HPV vaccine brand, date of vaccinations, and cytology result of specimen. It is the understanding of the Government that an award to any other source would cause unacceptable delays in meeting the requirements of the Government. Interested parties who feel that they possess the capabilities to provide the services described above should submit a capability statement demonstrating their abilities to provide the services. The information received in response to this notice will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive requirement. Please send your documentation to Deborah Workman by fax (770) 488-2889, or email to atl7@cdc.gov. Documentation should be received within fifteen (15) days after the date of publication of this synopsis to be considered by CDC. A determination by the CDC not to compete this proposed contract, based upon responses to this notification, is solely within discretion of the government.
