- This is a PRESOLICITATION Notice for the following: Procurement is 100 percent Small Business Set-Aside Project Name: Indiana Dunes Fuel Tank Decommissioning The North American Industry Classification System (NACIS) Code: 237120 "Oil and Gas Pipeline and Related Structures Construction" The Small Business Size Standard is $33.5 Million In accordance with FAR Subpart 36.204, the magnitude of the requirement for this contract is between $25,000.00 and $100,000.00 The Solicitation Number for this Project is P11PS60115. The US Department of the Interior, National Park Service, Ohio Major Acquisition Buying Office is soliciting proposals for a firm-fixed-price construction contract to provide all labor, supplies, equipment and material necessary to perform all operations required for the successful completion of the above named project. Work consists of but not all inclusive furnishing all labor, materials, tools, supplies, equipment, transportation, and supervision necessary to: Decommissioning and removal of diesel storage tanks and fueling systems at two (2) locations consisting of the following: Project Description:The work of this Contract consisted of demolition to the point of non-reusability, and removal of the park's two 500 gallon above ground Diesel fuel storage tanks. One located at the park administrative area and the other at the West Beach Maintenance area. The tanks have an interior steel shell with a secondary polyethylene chamber and monitoring system. The exterior is approximately 6" of reinforced concrete. The bulk of the fuel has been removed by RS Used Oil Services (1-708-932-1174) for reprocessing. The tanks will need to be evacuated of remaining volatile fumes, the concrete broken up, and the tanks need to be cut open and crushed and to make it non-reusable prior to recycling the metal. In addition the fuel pump components will also be removed and recycled and/or disposed of. Location:North End, Park Headquarters, 1100 N. Mineral Springs Road, Porter, IN 46304 and West Beach Auto Shop, 377 N. Main Street, Gary, IN 46403 Project Documentation: Provide any official documents (i.e. Landfill weight tickets, Salvage yard tickets, recycling weight tickets etc.) Documentation is required showing the tanks have been reduced to scrap or made unfit for any other use. Quality Control: The Contractor shall be a firm with a minimum of three years successful experience with similar type work and will meet industry standards. A site visit will be scheduled for all interested and qualified parties with the time and date to be announced in the Solicitation. The Solicitation and attachments will be posted electronically on or about July 27, 2011 at the following website: www/fedbizopps.gov. All Amendments will also be posted to this website. Responses will be due approximately 30 days following the date of posting of the Solicitation unless extended. NOTE: POSTING DATE OF SOLICITATION IS NOT DEFINATE.
