Description

NOTE: Change to Mandatory Site Visit Date to Jul 26, 2011. Solicitation to be issued Jul 18, 2011. The Contractor shall provide all labor, materials and equipment deemed necessary to concrete plug Penstock Gate No. 4 at Amistad Dam which is located in Del Rio, Texas. This gate was designed an irrigation water passage during the construction of the dam and is no longer required. The plug is required to be water tight against a maximum pressure of 240 feet of water head. It is the contractor's responsibility to identify all existing utilities within the project limits as well as coordinating any work associated with them with the utility company. Contractors shall obtain a letter of clearance from each utility company. No permits are required for this work. Performance Period: 90 calendar days. This requirement is 100% set-side for WOSB under the Women Owned of the Small Business Act for restricted competition exclusively among eligible and bona fide Woman or Women Owned firms. The magnitude of the project is between $300,000 and $500,000. There is a MANDATORY site visit scheduled for July 26, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at the USIBWC Amistad Dam field office, interested sources must RSVP at least 24 hours in advance of the site visit to ruben.pino@ibwc.gov.
