Description
Questions and Answers Lake Eva Cabin Site Reconstruction; Solicitation: AG-0116-S-11-0104 Questions and Answers No information given on this document amends the solicitation. Question 1: 7/11/11 Can the Alum. ramp be redesigned to be a split ramp for the reason of transportation cost and weight of the one purposed. Answer 1. 7/12/11 The ramp can be designed to be broken into pieces and still meet the other contract requirements it would be acceptable. Question 2: 7/11/11 Under H.3 Use of Premises a). The Lake Eva Cabin will be provided for the contractor's use during the period of June 1, 2012 through June 30, 2012. Complete all onsite work during this period only. Also you put 180 days to complete this work from award. The time frame to complete work and time set aside to do the work don't add up. Can work be done this fall of 2011 with in the 180 days? Is the USFS only allowing 30 days for all work to be done on site? Answer 2. 7/12/11 Actual work on the site must be completed during June 1, 2012 through June 30, 2012. The notice to proceed will be issued in early winter to give the contractor time (180 days) to acquire required materials and prepare to complete the work. Access to the site in the fall is difficult and the lake can freeze early stranding cabin users. We don't want this to string out because the public has expectations to use the facility.
