Description
Airborne Network Technology Review Days The Air Force Research Laboratory Information Directorate of Rome, NY is participating in the 6th "Airborne Network Technology Review Days" to be conducted at the Radisson Hotel and Conference Center in Utica, New York on 26-28th July 2011, sponsored and hosted by the Erie Canal Chapter (NY) of AFCEA. The objective of the Review Days is to provide a forum for industry and academia to discuss with government representatives the technologies required for formulation of the deployable airborne network(s). These Review Days will highlight approaches and current plans by the DoD to deploy airborne networks. Participants will have the opportunity to engage government leaders, researchers and scientists on approaches to solving the obstacles of networking airborne assets, review technology demonstrations, and discuss various experiments and practices. AFRL, Rome NY; along with NRL, Washington DC, and CERDEC, APG, MD, are assisting AFCEA with, and participating in this year's AN conference. This year's Review Days feature notable addresses from: Lt General William T. Lord [SAF/A6] ; Ms Susan Thornton [ESC/EN]; Mr Jeffery Eggers [AF/A2Q]; Mr Bruce Bennett [DISA]; Ms Leslie Perkins [AFRL/RB]; and others from the Army & Navy. On Wednesday, 27 July, the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association, Erie Canal Chapter, will host a technology panel session followed by the Airborne Network Technology Expo 2011 in conjunction with the Review Days. The purpose of the panel session and Expo 2011 is to provide industry, academia and government an additional opportunity to present their perspectives on advancing airborne network technology and to facilitate discussions. Due to space restrictions, Expo 2011 is limited to table top exhibits, Poster Boards and/or PowerPoint/PC Demo presentations. Each method of presentation MUST relate to advancing airborne network technology. Expo 2011 will be held at the Radisson Hotel and Conference Center and space is limited so only two per company site will be allowed. Also because of the limited space, selection will be on a first received basis. Application to exhibit is in the Exhibit Package on the following Website: WWW.afceaeriecanal.com <file://WWW.afceaeriecanal.com> Additional information on the ANTS conference can be found at: http://www.afceaeriecanal.com/AirborneNetworking.html Attendees must be US Citizens or Permanent Resident Aliens. Proof of status is required for registration. Clearances are not required and all discussions will be unclassified. Note: this is NOT a "bidder's conference" and this announcement is not a contract, request for proposal, a promise to contract, or a commitment of any kind. The Government will NOT assume liability for costs incurred by an offeror for presentations, marketing efforts or data offered for examination; therefore the cost of preparing information in response to this notice is not considered an allowable direct charge to the Government.   Registration is available now at: http://www.afceaeriecanal.com/Airborne_Registration.html The Registration Fees are as follows: Early Bird (received by COB 16 July) - $450; 17 July - 23 July $550; at the door - $650 [unless seating limit is reached before the conference]. The Review Days registration fee includes: conference costs, continental breakfasts, lunches, mid morning and afternoon breaks, and free parking for all 3 days, handout materials, a social hour and banquet on Tuesday evening, 26 July and the Expo 2011 on Wednesday evening, 27 July.
