Description

SOLICITATION NO. F11PS00690 PROJECT TITLE: Regrade/Excavation of Pond 3 and Pond 8 at Genoa, WI PROJECT LOCATION: Genoa National Fish Hatchery S5689 State Road 35 Genoa, WI 54632-8836 PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The project consists of providing superintendence, labor, materials, equipment and installation necessary for Item 1 - Pond 8 Re-Grading: Work includes mobilization and demobilization, dewatering, excavation of approximately 3,831 cubic yards of pond bottom spoil material, re-grading approximately 79,296 square feet of fish rearing pond bottom, placement of a plastic geo-grid layer, placement, compaction, and leveling of gravel 18" deep and removal and trucking of excess spoil material to off-site locations approximately 2 miles away. Item 2 - Pond 3 Re-Grading: Work includes dewatering, excavation of approximately 1,400 cubic yards of pond bottom spoil material, re-grading approximately 25,000 square feet of fish rearing pond bottom to drain to the existing water control structure, and removal and trucking the excavated spoil material to an off-site location approximately 2 miles away. ESTIMATED MAGNITUDE: The magnitude of this requirement in terms of physical characteristics and estimated price range is between $250,000 and $500,000. SOCIOECONOMIC PROGRAMS: This procurement is a set-aside for small business. For information purposes, the North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) is 238910, Excavating, earthmoving, or land clearing, with a size standard of $14 million. The Solicitation Package will be available via electronic commerce at http://ideasec.nbc.gov and http://www.fedbizopps.gov on or about Jul 27, 2011 with a Bid Opening occurring on or about August 29, 2011. The Solicitation Package will include the following: An itemized Bid Schedule, Scope of Work, Drawings, and Prevailing Wage Determination and Bid Bond Form. It is the Contractors responsibility to ensure that they receive all appropriate solicitation documents to submit a competitive BID.
