Description
The Naval Medical Research Center intends to award a sole source contract under authority of fAR Part 6.302-1 to Millipore Corporation, the multiplex human cytokines kits must contain assays for 6, 17, or 22 different cytokines in a single sample well and to be compatible with the luminex detection system. Millipore is the only company that has integrated a 6, 17 or 22 plex human cytokine kit. Millipore's kits have been optimized for operation on the luminex 100 IS machine and enable a larger panel of cytokines than other vendors can offer, but also several other applications such as the analysis of growth factors. If NMRC were to change companies/products at this point in the study would lend variables making all prior data meaningless. Millipore kits have been developed in a custom configurable flex system that allow unique panels of analytes to be easily configured at the benchtop. These reagents have been optimized such that the bead id"s, do not conflict and allow for the maximum flexibility for use on the luminex provided euipment. There are no set-aside retsrictions for this reuirement. The intended procurement will be classified under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) 541712. This Notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation document exists for this requirement. However parties interested in responding to this notice will need to submit technical data, including cost, sufficient to determine capability. All capability statements received by the closing date of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete based on responses solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Responses shall be submitted by email ONLY as a MS Word or Adobe PDF attachment to deborah.sharpe@med.navy.mil No phone calls will be accepted.
