PRESOLICITATION NOTICE CLASSIFICATION CODE: 66 SUBJECT: New and Refurbished Telemetry Implants SOLICITATION NUMBER: W81XWH-11-T-0388 RESPONSE DATE: August 15, 2011 CONTACT POINTS: Katrina Robertson, Contract Specialist, 301-619-2458; or Tonya Kreps, Contracting Officer, 301-619-2519 This is a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-48. This is an Unrestricted Competition. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 334510 This requirement will be for an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity contract (IDIQ). The Period of Performance for this contract will be a base year with four options years. DESCRIPTION: The United States Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity (USAMRAA) has a requirement for the following: The following services are required to maintain proper functioning of the telemetry implant devices for USAMRIID. Implant devices Shipped to the contractor's facility. Repair/Refurbishment service will be to Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Specifications. Contractor shall use only new or same-as-new replacement parts, which the quality is equal to or better than the OEM's original part. One for one replacement with a remanufactured device meeting the Governments quality requirements acceptable. All work will carry a warranty to be free from defect by the contractor. Contractor shall provide service report upon completion of all maintenance services. When discrepancies occur the Government will make the final determination of whether a replacement part is of equal or better quality. This award is for the repair of telemetry implant devices on an as-needed basis. All responsible sources may submit a quote, which shall be considered by the agency. The competitive solicitation, solicitation amendments and all questions and answers relating to this procurement shall be made available via the Internet at https://acquisition.army.mil/asfi/ or https://www.fedbizopps.gov. The solicitation is anticipated for release to the vendor community on or about, July 13, 2011 and will only be available until August 15, 2011. Specifications of the requirement are provided in solicitation: W81XWH-11-T-0388. Potential offerors are responsible for accessing the website. Interested parties must respond to the solicitation in order to be considered for award of any resultant contract. To be eligible for an award, offerors MUST be registered with the Central Contractor Registry at https://ccr.gov/ and must have completed its representations and certification found at https://orca.bpn.gov/. All questions should be addressed in writing to Katrina Robertson, Contract Specialist at katrina.robertson@us.army.mil. Questions shall be submitted not later than 1200 hours (Eastern Day Light Savings Time) on July 28, 2011. Only one set of questions shall be received from each offeror. Numerous emails from one offeror shall not be accepted. Telephone requests will not be honored and bidder lists will not be maintained. All interested parties shall provide their quote to Katrina Robertson at katrina.robertson@us.army.mil by 12:00 PM. ET on August 15, 2011.
