- Description
- Scan approximately 400,000 cellulose acetate medical x-ray films and produce a legal Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine (DICOM) electronic image. Films are deteriorating due to vinegar syndrome. The reaction has been slowed by placing films into cold storage until they can be digitized. Approximately 275,000 films will be picked up by the subcontractor at a facility in Morgantown, West Virginia, and shipped to the subcontractor's facility for digitizing. Controlled, secure, and refrigerated transport and storage of the records shall be maintained at all times. Approximately 125,000 films will have to be digitized at a preselected facility in Grand Junction, Colorado. That facility, although selected by Stoller, will be leased by the subcontractor as part of the subcontract resulting from this solicitation.
