The site is remote and not accessible from any road system; access is by floatplane or helicopter. There are no utilities at the project site., Sitka is located on Baranof Island, and is accessible by scheduled airline service, boat, and barge. Sitka and Angoon are on the Alaska Marine Highway ferry system.
