Description: PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE: This notice is for project No. 528-CSI-801 Construction of the Nuclear Medicine Department at the Albany VA Medical Center, VISN 2, at 113 Holland Ave., Albany, New York 12208. This will be an Invitation for Bid (IFB); award will be to the lowest responsive and responsible bid. The CONTRACTOR shall supply all supervision, labor, equipment, materials, and incidentals required to complete the work outlined in the statement of work section unless specified otherwise. This procurement has been set-aside 100% for award to Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) concerns. Offers from other than SDVOSB business concerns will not be considered and shall be rejected. Award will be made on a competitive basis under Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) 14 to a responsible SDVOSB responding to this solicitation. The SDVOSB contractor is required to perform a minimum of 15% of the construction work on the project. This does not include paperwork, submittals, etc. The SDVOB must be small under relevant NAICS code and must be registered and verified in the following websites: www.vip.vetbiz.gov; www.ccr.gov; https://orca.bpn.gov and https://vets100.vets.dol.gov/ to be eligible for award. Offers must ensure their registrations are updated, correct, and have not expired. Solicitation packages will be available on or about 7/27/2011 at FedBizOps.gov. All Request for Information (RFI) concerning this project must be in writing and no phone calls will be accepted; please contact Jonathan Aikin, Contracting Officer at the following e-mail address: jonathan.aikin@va.gov. No RFI 冱 will be accepted after 3:30pm on Friday, August 19, 2011. Bids are due no later than 1:00 p.m. local time on Friday, August 26, 2011 at the Department of Veterans Affairs, BUFFALO VA MEDICAL CENTER, 3495 Bailey Ave. Buffalo NY 14215, room 67c, basement floor. NAICS: 236220 apply. Size Standard: $33.5 million. PROJECT COST RANGE: $2,000,000.00-$5,000,000.00. Bidders are encouraged to attend the Pre-Bid meeting and walk through on Thursday, August 4, 2011, at 10:00 a.m. local time, meeting at the Albany VA Medical Center, B60-10 Conference Room, Engineering Department, 113 Holland Ave., Albany NY 12208.
