THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT. RESPONSES ARE REQUESTED TO HELP DETERMINE THE APPROPRIATE ACQUISITION STRATEGY FOR THE MAINTENANCE OF CANOPY HANGAR DOORS, NELLIS AFB, NV REQUIREMENT. INFORMATION RECEIVED WILL BE USED IN SUPPORT OF DETERMINING WHETHER THERE ARE COMMERCIAL BUSINESS PRACTICES (AND WHAT THOSE PRACTICES ARE) THAT CAN MEET THE REQUIREMENT. IF SO, WHETHER THERE ARE SMALL BUSINESSES CONCERNS THAT CAN MEET THE REQUIREMENT. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION. NO AWARD WILL BE MADE BASED ON RESPONSE TO THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. 2. Nellis AFB, NV is seeking information on sources that have previously provided or have the capability to provide maintenance of canopy hangar doors. The non-personal service requires the contractor to provide all management, tools, supplies, equipment, transportation, man-lifts, and labor necessary to inspect, maintain and repair commercial/ industrial tip-up one piece canopy aircraft hangar doors in a manner that will ensure dependable and safe operation of the doors identified in this contract at Nellis AFB, NV. The service will include a two (2) hour response requirement for emergency repairs. A quality control plan detailing how the contractor will meet the performance standards outlined in a performance work statement (PWS) will be required. The base period for this service is 1 October 2011 or date of award, whichever is later, through 30 September 2012, with 4 option years. A draft PWS and photographs of the equipment are provided with this announcement. 3. All interested parties are invited to provide the following information about your company/institution, or any teaming or joint venture partnerships. Interested parties are requested to register with the Federal Business Opportunities web page and submit a statement of capability (NOT TO EXCEED 5 PAGES) outlining past work relative to this requirement to the 99th Contracting Squadron. The statement of capability should include at a minimum: a) Contractor Name, Address, Point of Contact (POC), POC phone number(s) and email addresses, CAGE code, Website, if applicable, Whether registered in the Central Contractor's Registrations (CCR) Database under NAICS Code 811310 or not, and company size - Large or Small under Small Business Administration (SBA) guidance (http://www.sba.gov/size) b) Description of Relevant Contract Experience (Government and Commercial) to include Contract number, Description of the requirement, Dollar Value, POC for the requiring activity, POC address, e-mail, phone number(s), fax number, and the company's web page, if applicable c) Any suggestions for improving the performance work statement and whether or not a site visit is required before you can provide a proposal in response to a request for proposal 4. The information obtained from responses to this notice may be used in the development of an acquisition strategy and future solicitation. Any information provided in response to this sources sought announcement is strictly voluntary. Responses will not be returned. No payment entitlement of any kind will arise as a result of contractor response to this announcement or the Government's use of information contained in such response. 5. All responses and/or questions are requested by 1200 PST, 29 July 2011. Responses should be electronic and be submitted by e-mail to Leo Rodgers III, Contract Specialist, leo.rodgers@us.af.mil. 6.
