Description
The US Department of Interior, National Park Service, Golden Gate National Recreation Area intends to award a Non-Competitive 8(a) Contract Award. This project will rehabilitate the bridges west of Building 64 by removing the finish surface and recoating the metal. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION. A HARD COPY OF THIS NOTICE IS NOT BEING ISSUED electronically on the Department of Interiors (DOI) National Business Center (NBC) web site as this is a notice of intent to make a Non-Competitive 8(a) award and not a request for Expression of Interest, Proposals or Quotations. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The anticipated work includes, but is not limited to the following: The Contractor shall provide all supervision, labor, tools, parts, material, equipment and transportation to complete the following project work items: There are seven metal bridges approximately four feet wide that span about sixteen feet from the west side of Building 64 to the hillside. The bridges are comprised of beams supporting the grates and handrails/guardrails, metal steps, bolts, nuts, rivets etc. as part of the bridges. In 1998, these seven bridges were rehabilitated. The repairs included removing all rust, abating the lead paint, repairing/replacing specific metal supports, fabricating and installing new galvanized steel grates, and repainting all the metal surfaces with a marine grade process and product. The scope of this project is to remove rust, resurface the existing metal surfaces with a marine grade coating and process as specified in the original contract. The Government reserves the right to award optional work items in full or as individual work items depending on priority and funding. This procurement is a non-competitive Small Business 8(a) Set-Aside. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 236220, Small Business Size $33.5M M and Product Service Code (PSC) Z300. A firm fixed price contract will be awarded to the responsible offeror whose proposal conforms to the solicitation and is considered most advantageous to the Government, technical factors and cost or price considered. Estimated magnitude of this project is between $15,000 and $30,000. In order to receive contract award, a vendor must be registered in the CCR system and Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA).
