Description

The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) intends to issue a sole source firm-fixed price purchase order for the below list of software maintenance of the xTest software and sanitized live data testing to EMC Corporation. 1.xTest AFP for Server 2.xTest Concurrent User for Server 3.xTest pdf for Server 4.xTest server This purchase order will be made on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR Part 6.302-1 (c) brand name and FAR 11.105. The IRS Notice Configuration Profject requires the ongoing software maintenance of the xTest software suite for fully tested software upgrades (builds). xTest is a print compare utility that enables the Notice Conversion project to: perform high-speed comparison of post-composition print files and allow business operation division notice owners fast, higher quality review of the more than 1000 different notices and letters the IRS has developed and maintains. In addition, the testing of sanitized live data through xPression is required in order to assist in the upgrades. The use of xTest software and sanitized live data testing are essential to the Government’s requirements, thereby precluding consideration of a product manufactured by another company. The IRS has identified EMC Corporation of Hopkinton, MA as the sole source provider as the software is proprietary to the vendor and there are not any other resellers. Responsible sources who believe they can provide the required products may submit a written capability statement, via email, no later than 12 PM ET on July 19, 2011. Telephone inquiries will be considered non-responsive. No solicitation will be issued, therefore, requests for solicitations will be considered non-responsive. If no responses are received the award will be made to EMC Corporation.
