Description

This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce On Line (NECO) site located at http://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopses and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA). The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) intends to issue solicitation number N0002411R4320 for the FY 12 Drydock Continuous Maintenance Availability (DCMAV) of the USS ANNAPOLIS (SSN 760). The DCMAV includes maintenance, repair, alterations, testing and routine work on a nuclear-powered submarine. It is anticipated that this will be a non-competitive procurement awarded to Electric Boat Corporation, a nuclear-qualified contractor, located at 75 Eastern Point Road in Groton, Connecticut (zip code 06340). Firms interested in subcontracting opportunities should contact Electric Boat Corporation directly. The DCMAV is scheduled to last approximately four months. The DCMAV will be performed in Electric Boat ™s Graving Dock located in the ship's homeport of Groton, Connecticut. The solicitation will be issued on or about 15 September 2011. The tentative due date for receipt of proposals is 1 November 2011. See Numbered Note 22.
