Description
MARKET RESEARCH/SOURCES SOUGHT. The purpose of this survey is to identify contractors with the capability to provide and install a sound and video system that meets the needs of the 910th AW by September 10, 2011. DESCRIPTION: The contractor is to demo the existing ten ceiling speakers with associated wiring in Bldg 113 on Youngstown Air Reserve Station, Ohio, and to furnish all labor, material, equipment, training and transportation to provide and install a new fully operational, state of the art amplified sound and video system by September 10, 2011. The primary use of the system will be to provide various presentations ranging in size from small to large in a building with a capacity of 350 persons. The system must have the ability to emit sound fidelity throughout four individual zones (see attached drawing), or any combination of zones, within the first floor of the facility in a clear, concise and understandable manner. The system shall also be capable of providing four zones of video feed within the first floor. Two zones shall enable the two existing televisions (Hitachi and Insignia) to show presentations and/or current normal cable television. The existing televisions are to be wired into a mixer to enable the audio to be heard over the new ceiling speakers. The system shall allow master control of volume from a central rack in the manager's office, as well as the capability to lock out individual system users. Building occupants are to be provided any/all required codes to facilitate future changes to the sytem. Mixers shall be provided to control the combining as well as un-combining of the speakers in the various zones. System must include a feed into the existing internet-ready jukebox which will allow microphone usage, in addition to being outsourced to the new speakers. The jukebox shall also require a feed out to allow playing of music across all zones. Two wall plate connections will be located within each zone with cabling running through the ceiling and back to the main rack located within the manager's office. Surface mounted conduit shall not be used anywhere during installation of any of the sytem. Each plate will include a 3-pin XLR female, a dual RCA input, volume up button and volume down button which will allow the XLR connection to be used with a wired handheld microphone. The dual RCA connection will be used for external audio source. Interested parties with the capability to provide and intall the system detailed above should identify themselves by submitting their company name, address (including zip plus four number), telephone number, fax number, e-mail address, and point of contact, in writing to the Contract Specialist identified below. Contractors are also requested to identify if they have other designated size standards besides HUBZone (i.e. Small, Woman Owned, 8(a), Disabled Veteran, etc.). PLEASE NOTE, IN ORDER TO RECEIVE AN AWARD AS THE PRIME CONTRACTOR, CONTRACTORS MUST BE LISTED IN THE CENTRAL CONTRACTOR REGISTER (CCR) DATABASE; FAILURE TO REGISTER WILL DISQUALIFY A CONTRACTOR FROM AWARD SHOULD THE CONTRACTOR BE SELECTED AND NOT BE REGISTERED. Contractors may rgister via the Internet CCR website at 222.ccr.gov. New registrations usually take 3-5 business days to process once completed by the vendor. Recommend registering immediately in order to be eligible for timely award.
