Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation FA4877-SUNSHADE-REPAIR is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-53; Defense Circular Number 20110629; Air Force Circular 2011-0421. This procurement is being issued as a total small business set-aside under NAICS code 332312 with a size standard of 500 employees. CLIN 0001 - Repair 18 sunshades that have horizontal roof cables that snapped and the fabric ripped in larg sections. Description: Contractor shall provide all necessary tools, equipment, materials, transportation, personnel, supervision, management, and anything else required to repair storm damaged sunshades. Examples of repairs to be accomplished: replace/repair cables, fabric, lighting, etc. See attached list and layout for the sunshades that need repair. More detail will be provided at the site visit. "The Statement Of Work, Questions & Answers and Site Visit Minutes will be posted by No-Later-Than 20 July 2011." A MANDATORY SITE VISIT WILL BE HELD FOR ALL PROSPECTIVE BIDDERS ON TUESDAY 12 JULY 2011. ALL INTERESTED CONTRACTORS SHALL RESPOND IN ADVANCE WITH THEIR INTENT TO ATTEND THIS SITE VISIT TO 2dLt KELLY SNYDER AND MR. JEREMY DEDMON (KELLY.SNYDER@DM.AF.MIL, JEREMY.DEDMON@DM.AF.MIL) BY 4:30 PM PST ON MONDAY 11 JULY 2011. THOSE ATTENDING THE SITE VISIT MUST BRING A DRIVER'S LISCENSE, PROOF OF INSURANCE, VEHICLE REGISTRATION AND KNOW THEIR SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER AND DATE OF BIRTH. ***THE PLACE OF MEETING FOR THIS SITE VISIT WILL BE THE CRAYCROFT GATE (VISITOR'S CENTER) NLT 1300 ON TUESDAY 12 JULY 2011.*** Repairs will be completed on the flightline on Davis-Monthan AFB, AZ 85707. In proposal, each contractor will provide the timeline to start and complete work after receipt of order. Work shall commence and be completed as soon as possible. The provision at 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors -- Commercial, applies to this acquisition. Clause 52.212-2, Evaluation -- Commercial Items applies. Quotes will be evaluated on lowest price. Technical capability will also be reviewed and evaluated to determine accepability.
