- Project Number 636-11-107, Psychiatric Ward Enhancements. Contractor shall completely prepare site for building operations, including demolition and removal of existing structures, and furnish labor and materials and perform work to correct multiple Mental Health code deficiencies on the 10th floor at the Omaha Division of the Nebraska-Western Iowa Health Care System located at 4101 Woolworth Avenue, Omaha, Nebraska 68105. Work includes general construction, alterations, mechanical and electrical work, utility systems, necessary removal of existing structures and construction and certain other items. Work includes, but not limited to, installation of tamper proof screws, modification of an existing medication room, replacement of bathroom fixtures, installation of ceiling tile clips, construction of walls, modernization of an existing dining room, installation of electronic locks, and construction of shower room. All work shall be performed in strict accordance with the terms, conditions, specifications and drawings of the solicitation (when available) and all applicable local and VA codes. Solicitation Number VA-263-11-IB-0529 for this effort will be posted to FedBizOpps (www.fedbizopps.gov) on or about August 2, 2011. This solicitation will contain all necessary specifications, drawings and other information necessary to bid the project. An Organized Site Visit is tentatively scheduled to be held sometime between August 8 and August 12, 2011 (See solicitation when available for specific time/date/place). The Bid Opening is tentatively scheduled to be held on Friday, September 9, 2011 (see solicitation when available for specific time/date/place). The successful bidder will be required to provide Performance and Payment Bonds within 10 calendar days of award notification. The Period of Performance is expected to be 180 calendar days from the issuance of the Notice-to-Proceed. THIS SOLICITATION IS SET ASIDE FOR SERVICE-DISABLED VETERAN-OWNED SMALL BUSINESSES (SDVOSBs) UNDER PUBLIC LAW 109-461. Disclosure of the magnitude of construction projects: The estimated cost of the total project is between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00.
