- Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD) is conducting a market survey to determine the availability and technical capability of qualified small businesses, including 8(a) small businesses, small disadvantaged businesses, woman-owned small businesses, service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses or HUBZone small businesses capable of providing the following products: 1.Item# ND-8000(US), NANODROP 8000 SPECTROPHOTOMETER 2.Item# IQOQ-8000-V210, NANODROP 8000 IQ/OQ KIT FOR NANODROP 8000 S/N:xxx (includes CD w/IQ/OQ PROCEDURES 7 FORMS, CF-8 CALIBRATION CHECK KIT AND PR-1 RECONDITIONING KIT) The features of the NanoDrop 8000 are as follows: Improved productivity with capability of analyzing up to eight 1 l samplesInnovative software to create custom methods and options to design reports and export dataIncreased efficiency with the Sample Position Illuminator, which reduces error by keeping track of samples to be measuredHighly throughput for environments such as biorepositories, genotyping facilities and quality control labs andImproved productivity for busy labs where multiple users currently use the single sample modelThe spectrometer will be used to quantitate DNA/RNA samples for preparation. Interested firms with the capability of providing the required products are requested to submit a capability statement to assist he Government in determining in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 19.502-2(b) whether or not this procurement will be set-aside for any of the programs described above. The intended procurement will be classified under North American Industrial Classification (NAICS) code 334516 with a size standard of 500 employees. All respondents are requested to identify their firms size and type of business. Interested firms responding to this market survey must provide (a) capability statement demonstrating their experience, skills and capability to fulfill the Governments requirements for the above. The capability statement shall be in sufficient enough detail, but not to exceed seven (7) pages, so that the Government can determine the experience and capability of your firm to provide the requirements above. Two (2) copies of the capability statement must be received at the contracting office address: 6100 Executive Blvd, Room 5Z00, Rockville, MD 20852 - ATTN: Tina Robinson or via email to robinsti@mail.nih.gov (solicitation# NICHD2011117 must be in the subject line of email) prior to 10:00 a.m. eastern standard time at designated location on July 25, 2011. Capability statement must reference solicitation# NICHD2011117. Capability statement/responses by fax WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
