Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Office of Information and Technology intends to negotiate a single source purchase in accordance with FAR Part 13 with Motek Medical, BV. This agreement is to provide the VA Puget Sound Medical Center with a D-Flow virtual reality system which will be used in numerous studies by researchers at the VA RR&D Center for Limb Loss Prevention and Prosthetic Engineering. The purchase agreement is for supplies or services which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with a single source under the authority of FAR 13.106. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. No solicitation document is available and telephone inquiries will not be honored; however, interested parties may submit information detailing how their services meet the VA requirements to the Contracting Officer. Responses received on or before July 27, 2011 will be considered. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
