Description

SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE The Erie VA Medical Center, 135 E 38th Street, Erie, PA 16504 is seeking potential sources capable of providing a printer that has the same capabilities as the LEICA IPS Modular Histology Slide Printer. The printer should meet the following salient characteristics: "Capability to print alphanumeric and bar codes at a resolution of 360 dpi "Chemically-resistant ink "Ink that is resistant to physical wear "Ability to be loaded with 150 slides at a time "Throughput of up to 8 slides/minute in batch printing mode "Single slide printing function "Capacity of 3 magazines If you know of a printer that would meet these characteristics, please email Jennifer Balsiger, Contract Specialist, at jennifer.balsiger2@va.gov by Wednesday July 27, 2011. This notice is not a request for proposals (RFP). Firms responding to this announcement should include company name, point of contact, address and indicate whether they are small business, 8(a) concern, veteran-owned small business, service-disabled veteran-owned small business, HUBZone small business, small disadvantaged business, or women-owned small business. The Government reserves the right to set-aside any subsequent acquisition based upon known sources and/or responses to this notice. This is a request for information/market research to provide data for planning purposes. This sources sought synopsis does not constitute a request for proposal, request for quote, invitation for bid nor does its issuance in any way restrict the Government as to its ultimate acquisition approach. Responses to this notice shall be emailed to Jennifer Balsiger, Jennifer.balsiger2@va.gov, no later than 2:00 PM local EST on Wednesday, July 27, 2011.
