Description

The Cle Elum Ranger District on the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest will be soliciting proposals later this summer for a special use permit to operate and maintain campgrounds and day use recreation site. The sites will include 12 campgrounds and 1 rental cabin. Detailed information on the recreation facilities, business opportunity, and instructions for submitting applications will be available in the prospectus. Applications will be due in Fall 2012. Applicants are strongly encouraged to visit the sites prior to submitting an application. Further information about the facilities and locations is available on the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest website www.fs.usda.gov/okawen.The following recreation sites will be included in the prospectus: Kachess (with boat launch/picnic area), Wishpoosh (with boat launch/picnic area), Cle Elum River, Salmon la Sac, Cayuse Horse Camp, Owhi, Swauk, Mineral Springs, Ice Water Creek, Taneum and Taneum Cabin.
