- Description
- The purpose of this announcement is to detail the plans for an upcoming HED Electric Propulsion System (EPS) Industry Day on August 5, 2011. As advised during the original Industry Day held November 17, 2010, a second Industry Day is being held after receipt of feedback from industry and after further establishment of the requirements. The intent of this second Pre-Solicitation Meeting/Industry Day is to introduce the revised draft of the anticipated Request for Proposal (RFP) and performance specification for the HED EPS, so industry can become familiar with the considerations that are leading to the acquisition decisions. As this is not a solicitation, no attendee firm should view this as an opportunity to exhibit its qualifications or technical merit that distinguish itself from others in attendance. Questions and conversation that appear to steer in this direction will be discouraged. Please limit attendance from each company (to include all divisions) to three individuals as the total attendance will be limited. Attendees must be US Citizens or Permanent Resident Aliens and must represent bona fide US Department of Defense (DoD) contractors as the presentation materials may include limited distribution information. Evidence in the form of an executed DD Form 2345 (MILITARILY CRITICAL TECHNICAL DATA AGREEMENT) will be required prior to admission. Please pre-register via email to the following address: adam.goldberg@navy.mil no later than Monday August 1, 2011. Registration will be confirmed via a responding e-mail and failure to register will prohibit admittance. Please provide the individual ™s name, company name, phone and e-mail address in addition to the DD 2345 (reference to DD 2345 submitted for the November 17, 2010 Industry Day may be accepted in lieu of a new form). The Government intends to publish a list of attendees to encourage subcontracting opportunities. Presentation material will be posted after the meeting. Note: This is NOT a "bidders conference" and this announcement is not a contract, request for proposal, a promise to contract, or a commitment of any kind that would otherwise obligate the Government. The Government will not assume liability for costs incurred by any offeror for travel, presentations, marketing efforts or data offered for examination; therefore the cost of preparing information in response to this notice is not considered an allowable cost to the Government. Date: Friday, August 5, 2011 Time: Check-in at 10:00am; General Session from 10:30am to 12:30pm. Location: Computer Sciences Corporation, (Maritime Plaza 2, 2nd floor, Room 201) 1220 12th St. SE, Washington, DC 20003. Contact Information: Joseph Tannenbaum, PMS 320 Electric Ships Office (ESO) Acquisition Manager (202) 781-2629 joseph.tannenbaum@navy.mil
