Description
Question 1: Does the government want the contractor to procure and install the AIS receiver systems needed to acquire the AIS data? Answer: The government desires to purchase services from a commercial provider to meet coverage requirements specified in the SOW. The government is not directing or requesting commercial interests to purchase/install hardware. It is the desire of the government to not burden the contractor to provide services that they are not already capable of providing. Question 2: Will receivers be required to cover the start and end points only, as shown in 1.9.2? Answer: The table was intended to provide coverage areas desired and not receiver site locations Question 3: Has the government identified the receiver physical sites, and does it own access rights to these sites? Answer: No Question 4: Are these sites accessible by automobile and do they have electrical power? Answer: N/A Question 5: Is secure wireless data transmission of data to CG RDC permissible? Answer: No Question 6: What secure backhaul methods are acceptable: cable, cellular, satellite? Answer: Secured wired connections Question 7: Section 5.1 reference to areas listed in section 1.9.1 should read 1.9.2? Correct, should read 1.9.2 Question 8: Section 5.2 availability of 96% should read 90%? Answer: Government desires 96% or higher as stated in 5.2.1. For payment purposes, anything above 90% is acceptable as described in SOW.
