- Federal Business Opportunities Information Date: 2011 July 25 SOLICITATION NO. W9128F-11-B-0063 On or about 08 August 2011, this office will issue Invitations for Bid for construction of the Swanson Bank Stabilization, Fort Randall Project, SD. The solicitation will close on or about 07 September 2011. This solicitation is RESTRICTED TO SMALL BUSINESS PARTICIPATION. A tentative site visit date has been set for 16 August 2011. Contractors interested in inspecting the site of the proposed work need to make reservations with Lee Jay Templeton, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Telephone: (605)224-5862 ext 3206 or email LeeJay.J.Templeton@usace.army.mil. Contractors will be given time and meeting location when they make reservations. DO NOT submit requests for plans and specifications to the site visit personnel listed above. See 'Obtaining Solicitation Documents' below. _______________________________________________________________________________ Project Description: (Approx. quantities) All work complete for providing stone protection for the Swanson Bank Stabilization Project located on Lake Francis Case just above Chamberlain in Corson County, South Dakota. Work includes the shaping of approximately 2,000 ft embankment, installing 4,200 sq yds of Geotextile fabric, and providing and placing 7,400 tons of riprap as per specifications and drawings. The estimated construction cost of this project is between$250,000 and $500,000. _______________________________________________________________________________ The Contractor will be required to commence work within 10 days after notice to proceed and complete the work 120 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed. Provisions will be included for liquidated damages in case of failure to complete the work in the time allowed. Performance and payment bonds will be required. Bonding documents including the power of attorney shall bear an original signature by an officer of the surety. Bidders (Offerors): Please be advised of on-line registration requirement in Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database https://www.bpn.gov/ccr/default.aspx and directed solicitation provisions concerning electronic annual On-line Representations and Certifications (ORCA) at https://orca.bpn.gov. Representations and certifications are required to be updated annually as a minimum to keep information current, accurate and complete. The electronic annual representations and certifications are effective until one year from date of submission or update to ORCA.
