Description
The National Institutes of Health (NIH), Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD) have a requirement to procure the following brand name or equivalent to Illumina Inc. products: 1.HumanOmni Express-12 v1.0 DNA Analysis Beadchip Kit (48 samples) Each HumanOmni Express DNA Analysis BeadChip can process twelve samples and analyze >700,000 loci. Each package contains 4 BeadChips, along w/reagents for amplifying, fragmenting, hybridizing, labeling and detecting 48 DNA samples. CATALOG# WG-311-1120 - QUANTITY: THREE (3) EA 2.HumanOmni Express-12 v1.0 DNA Analysis Beadchip Kit (288 samples) Each HumanOmni Express DNA Analysis BeadChip can process twelve samples and analyze >700,000 loci. Each package contains 24 BeadChips, along w/reagents for amplifying, fragmenting, hybridizing, labeling and detecting 288 DNA samples. CATALOG# WG-311-1121 QUANTITY: TWO (2) EA The arrays must be compatible with the Illumina iScan Microarray Scanners that the lab has access to. The arrays will be used for hapoltype-based genetic analysis to identify genes that alter the connectivity between brain regions in addicts compared to control subjects. Use of the Omni express or compatible arrays must allow for seamless integration of these newly acquired data with existing data. The iScan system is a cutting-edge, dedicated array scanner that supports rapid, sensitive and accurate imaging of Illuminas array based genetic analysis products. The system features a high signal-to-noise ration, high sensitivity, an excellent limit of detection and a broad dynamic range leading to exceptionally high data quality. At the iScan system core is the iScan Reader, which incorporates high-performance lasers, optics and detection systems. The iScan Reader offers sub-micron resolution and unmatched throughput rates. Even highest density BeadChips can be scanned in just minutes, allowing processing of us to 96 multi-sample BeadChips per day. These imaging features are especially beneficial for high-density genotyping, CNV analysis, DNA methylation and gene expression profiling. Basis for Award: Offerors must provide descriptive literature or other material that demonstrates their offer meets the forgoing requirements with their RFQ response. The equivalent products must be able to function equally as well as the brand name products with the Illumina iScan Microarray Scanners. The contract will be awarded to the responsible offeror whose offer fully meets the requirements of the solicitation and provides the best value to the Government. Offerors may request a copy of the Request for Quotation (RFQ) package via email to: robinsti@mail.nih.gov prior to the closing date of this notice or before August 1, 2011 @ 10:00 am EST.
