Description
NAICS Code: 334220 The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Office of Superfund Remediation & Technology Innovation (OSRTI), Environmental Response Team (ERT), under the authority of the Federal Acquisition Rules (FAR) Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures, intends to issue a sole source purchase order to Safe Environment Engineering for purchase of LifeLine Gateways and related equipment. NO SOLICITATION OR REQUEST FOR QUOTE IS AVAILABLE. The wireless sensor communication equipment that the Government requires must satisfy the following specifications: 1) System must utilize an open standard-based Internet Protocol (IP) network communications model to implement wireless sensor communications. 900 mhz is not an acceptable communications model due to the nature of ERT?s instrument deployment configurations; 2) The data communicated must made available in the DHS standard Common Alerting Protocol (CAP) format; 3) The system must provide a mechanism for real time, user configurable, unrestricted streaming of the CAP data to both local and remote servers; 4) Vendor system must enable control of wireless communication with sensors and data both locally and remotely via the internet; 5) Sensor communication components must meet the below power requirement for intrinsically safe assessment: <7.4 volts; and 6) Vendor system must be compatible with the following instrum ents: AreaRAE, MultiRAE, ChemRAE, UltraRAE, E-Bam, Thermo DataRAM, Honeywell Single Point Monitor, Ludlum 2241, Ludlum 2221 and the Canberra MiniRadiac. Notwithstanding, any firm who believes it is capable of meeting EPA's requirement as stated herein may submit a response, which if received within 10 calendar days of the date of this announcement, will be considered. Responses to this posting must be in writing. A determination not to compete the proposed Purchase Order based upon the responses is solely within the discretion of the Government in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b).
