- On or about 5 August 2011, this office will issue a Request for Quote for the construction of headcut erosion protection and channel restoration at 2 locations at the Corps of Engineers, Papio Site #16 Standing Bear Lake in Omaha, NE. The solicitation will close on or about 19 August 2011. This solicitation is RESTRICTED TO SMALL BUSINESSES. Project Description: The work consists of the construction of headcut erosion protection and channel restoration at 2 locations at the Corps of Engineers, Papio Site #16 Standing Bear Lake in Omaha, Nebraska. The first site consists of an earthen embankment with a preformed concrete area inlet, a CMP outlet conduit and a constructed riprap stilling basin. The second site consists of a small drop structure approximately 4 feet in height along the channel with downstream riprap for scour protection of the channel. Both sites require channel reshaping, installation of rolled erosion control, temporary erosion and pollution controls and seeding. Site work for both sites will consist of approximately 300 CY of cut/Fill and placement of approximately 300 CY of rip rap. Both sites will have to be cleared and grubbed with disposal of the trees near the site. Representations and certifications are required to be updated annually as a minimum to keep information current, accurate and complete. The electronic annual representations and certifications are effective until one year from date of submission or update to ORCA.
